With a flourishing market and higher spreads, European banks – including German and Dutch – are probing real estate developers in Portugal, offering financing for new projects that, until recently, were held up due to a lack of credit. With local banks lacking the capacity to respond to current market demand, foreign banks are positioning themselves to attract new business.

When bringing an electrical vehicle from France to Portugal, there is no assessment on the process. Nevertheless, one must still exchange the foreign registration and licence plate for Portuguese ones. The required vehicle documentation is the “grey card” and, if available, the “Certificado de Conformidade” – the document with all vehicle specifications for Europe. If the “CC” is not available, it can obtained by the “Despachante” (Import Agent).  On the owner’s part, the needed documentation includes ID, Residência and “NIF” (Fiscal Number).

This information is valid for 100% electric vehicles, not petrol/diesel engine hybrids.

This is a selective group; only about 7 percent of hosts earn the title of Superhosts.

In exchange, you get more visibility in search results, invitations from the company to exclusive events and a medal next to your profile photo. Yet vaulting to Superhost status is hardly intuitive. Here are some tips on running a successful Airbnb rental based on interviews with Superhosts. Continue reading →
